Michaela Threw a Boy

Michaela went to a gymboree music class today. She enjoyed herself. It was fun.
There was a 12 month old boy there that happened to hit Michaela in the head with maracas. Michaela gave him a dirty look and went on with class. When class was over, Michaela was looking in this funhouse mirror while I gathered our things. The same little boy nudged his way to where Michaela was standing and kind of tried to get her to move so he could have a look. Michaela grabbed his shirt with one hand and his arm with the other, spun him around and threw him on one of the play mats where he slid a bit and began to cry. I almost started crying trying to apologize to the boy and his mother! His mother started laughing and told me not to worry about it because he has done much worse. She said to her son "wow! you've finally met your match! Don't worry, I won't tell daddy it was a girl."
I told Michaela that was not ok. I told her to say sorry, but she pretends she doesn't know that word yet. We have to work on that. Big time.
I can't beleive how strong she is. This kid is maybe 2lbs lighter than her and she threw him, she did not push him, she threw him.

What's New

Michaela had her 15 month checkup on Monday. She is 22lbs and 31"tall. She is just under the 50th percentile for her age. The doctor says that is just fine.
She has an ear infection, and I see tubes in her future.
The doctor wanted to draw blood to test for lead. I agreed. I had to help hold Michaela down while the nurse stabbed her in one arm until her vein blew, then went to the next arm and finally got some blood. Then she had to get a shot. It was horrible. I don't want to talk about it anymore. Michaela quickly forgot.
I was recently at the doctors also. I have gained 20lbs my pregnancy so far. Princess and myself are doing well.
I am sorry for everyone who is stuck in all of that snow. We miss you guys.

State of Emergency

Because of that light dusting of snow, several school districts closed their schools and government workers state wide did not have to show up for work until 1pm. The snow melted before Michaela could play in it.

We are all up and running again in the land of fried chicken. I am so excited! I signed Michaela up for unlimited classes at Gymboree for the next three months!!! I am so tired, I could cry!

Oh yuck, its everywhere!

I got 4 hours of sleep last night. Michaela has the stomach flu. She started around 2 yesterday and it did not stop until midnight. No emergency room. I called her doctor at 11pm to ask. Since she was not dehydrated, we did not have to go. We had parents nigh out Friday where the Child Development Center will watch children from 630 to 1030. They have a virus going around there that, as the doc told me, is highly contagious! She hopes we are washing our hands VERY well! That's so funny for doctors to say that. Of course we are going to wash vomit off of us, but they know you kiss your kids, do their laundry and dishes and we share food and drink with her sometimes too (I know not everyone does that). I swear, the poor kid just looks at a childcare center and becomes ill. Alright then! I am off to bleach the house!

A is for Awesome!

Awesome, as in overwhelmingly struck with awe.
