Michaela went to a gymboree music class today. She enjoyed herself. It was fun.
There was a 12 month old boy there that happened to hit Michaela in the head with maracas. Michaela gave him a dirty look and went on with class. When class was over, Michaela was looking in this funhouse mirror while I gathered our things. The same little boy nudged his way to where Michaela was standing and kind of tried to get her to move so he could have a look. Michaela grabbed his shirt with one hand and his arm with the other, spun him around and threw him on one of the play mats where he slid a bit and began to cry. I almost started crying trying to apologize to the boy and his mother! His mother started laughing and told me not to worry about it because he has done much worse. She said to her son "wow! you've finally met your match! Don't worry, I won't tell daddy it was a girl."
I told Michaela that was not ok. I told her to say sorry, but she pretends she doesn't know that word yet. We have to work on that. Big time.
I can't beleive how strong she is. This kid is maybe 2lbs lighter than her and she threw him, she did not push him, she threw him.

That little brute, I love it LOL. Tell her auntie is proud LOL OMG I cannot stop laughing ha ha ha ha. I would feel differently if I had been there and was responsible for her, or if I were her mother, but as her aunt form a distance, awesome. : )
First Rachael gives people hell, now Michaela is not taking any guff from bullies - what a wonderful thing!
(sorry you don't want her beating kids up, but she was responding to provocation)
Faith, do you remember that time outside the high school when Grandma and your mother picked you up? And what happened to that boy who hit another girl?
I'm just saying...
Michaela is so talented!! Black belt!!
Auntie
I absolutely love this story. She is the sweetest thing...as long as you don't mess with her. I wonder where she gets that from.
Wonderful Princess. She does no wrong.
