It's Our new Life, No Matter Where We are

I am having a little trouble not living near a military instillation. No one here has any idea how to handle military families. Our health insurance is always being denied because no one knows what number needs to be entered from my military ID. This happens at every doctor's office and every pharmacy we go to. Marcs almost did not take my check because they did not recognize USAA as a bank and usually only deal with local banks. Even after I explained that we are military and USAA does not have branches because it caters to those who move all over the country, the cashier still had to call two people to have my check approved.
I was told by someone recently that they could not help me basically because we are military and my husband is overseas (long story). She looked at me and said "We really appreciate what he is doing over there, but that's the way it is"
She overstepped there. She, and she is not alone, has no idea what we, as a family do and what he is doing "over there". I am not seeking appreciation. I am not putting myself, or my husband on a pedestal for what we choose to put up with and put our family through, but that insincere "thanks for whatever" bothered me in a surprising way.

By the time you read this, I will be 30!

It's my birthday!!!! I love my birthday! Even after 29 others, I am still excited. All I ever want is to be with friends and family and I get that wish every year. Life is good.

Happy Winter

I was right when I thought I may enjoy snow again when I do not have to drive to work. Michaela all bundled up just warms the heart. She loves the snow! Good for her!
Michaela and I went to the rain forest today, just us two. Rachael watched Morgan while we had a date. It was awesome. I also took her for ice cream later. She enjoyed herself very much. I had a great time too.
The only update I have on myself is: I hate mono, I hate mono, I hate mono. I am fine part of a day, then the next thing I know my glands are swollen, my throat hurts and I pass out. I do not like it at all.

Christmas for the Girls

Hi everyone! Happy holidays!

I have finally come up with ideas for the girls for Christmas.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE lets go easy on the toys and clothes! They have so many things, we do not have room for what they have, and we will have to move everything ourselves again next year.

****I would very much like Gymboree (play and learn) gift cards for Morgan.
****Michaela will be taking dance classes this year and she will need money towards that and a few classes she will be taking at the Nature and Science center.

I would like them to have the opportunity to do all of these things while they can this year.

Also, for Michaela, washable crayons, sidewalk chalk, and sticker books would be fine. She could also use some socks. You know those things that go over your lap when you are sitting on the couch, so you can eat, or write? Those come decorated in Disney princesses and I think she would love to use one of those.

Morgan will soon be wearing 18m clothing and size 4 shoes. Wooden blocks would be a cute idea for her, as well as toys she could push around while learning to walk.

They would probably both like their own little suitcases for travel.

Can't wait to see everyone soon.
