Equal Opportunity Employer

We went to housing on Monday to ask them what we needed to do at this base since Joe applied in Texas 3 weeks ago for housing.
Let me first say that housing takes up 3/4 of the base. They are currently spending lots of money wrecking half of the old housing to build new housing.
The man helping us looks up suprized when we told him that, and told us we were not on the list in front of him, but that meant nothing because he had not printed a list today. We arrived at the office at 2pm. They work until 4pm. So he shouts over to the lady sitting next to him, who is talking with the lady next to her and asked her about people waiting for a 2 bedroom house. She says "I havn't even looked at that today". She was nice enough to stop gabbing and look through her sea of post it notes to tell us "no...oh wait yes, we have some people waiting".
The man helping us then looks through his sea of post it notes to eventually tell us to come back next week; Joe waisted his time applying early. Thats not how they do it here.
I made sure I made the man uncomfortable with my Faith stare, Michaela screamed and we left.
Has anyone seen that commercial where the guy works with a bunch of monkeys and/or asses? It was like that. Even mild mannered me had to ask Joe how he is nice to these people. He said "Just smile and nod, smile and nod."
