Is this a joke?

We have a horrible, unbearable smell coming from our drains in our kitchen. I was told to pour bleach down the drains. I used a whole gallon of bleach last week. The smell got worse. So I called maintenance out to have a look. They checked for a gas leak and told me they would put a super powerful drain cleaner in my drain, but could not get ahold of this magical liquid until Monday. That's fine, I like waking to the taste of stagnant water and headaches all day. The baby loves it too. Today they return. This guy has a bottle of Liquid Plumber Foaming Snake Pipe Cleanser that you can pick up for $3.00 anywhere. They dumped it in my drain, told me to wait an hour. I asked him how long I had to wait before I called them back to let them know it did not work.
